It is rugged. I used it as the payload for a model rocket and it survived. The video is interesting, too. It's small and seems to maintain a charge for long periods when not in use. The video quality is reasonably good under a variety of conditions (indoor & outdoor). Cons: It captures audio, but the audio quality is just ok under most conditions. There is no way to eliminate the time/date stamp in the lower right portion of the screen. After searching, I found that the manufacturer stated this but it's burried in a FAQ. That was a suprise and I almost returned it. For downloads, without installing the software, some computers recognize the device as USB Storage Device, and will transfer files easily. But, others don't. Do not open files with DivX. Even though you have AVI files, it crashes the computer. Overall, I like the size and ruggedness. However, the time date stamp on the videos is annoying. I would not buy it again for that reason.
